Same Worlds, Different Format
Not every adventure requires foam swords and running around. Tabletop Adventures brings all our beloved program worlds to the tabletop—whether that's a physical table in your library or a virtual table on Zoom.
Using simplified tabletop RPG rules, participants create characters, make choices, roll dice, and experience collaborative stories in the same settings as our live action programs. It's the same creative, team-building, skill-developing experience—just in a different format.
Tabletop Adventures is perfect for: - Remote or hybrid programming - Smaller groups wanting more intimate experiences - Kids who prefer imaginative play to physical activity - Weather-backup options for outdoor programs - Extended storylines that continue week-to-week
Available Worlds
Choose which world your adventure takes place in:
Eaglesclaw School of Wizardry — Attend America's premier magical academy. Create a student character, get sorted into a house, attend classes, and solve mysteries unfolding at the school. Uses our Eaglesclaw-specific magic system.
Camp Mythos — Discover your godly parent and embark on quests through Greek, Norse, Egyptian, or Roman mythology. Uses our pantheon powers and demigod abilities system.
Quest! Worlds — Adventures in Nevinia (underwater kingdom), Endhaven (fantasy realm), or Legends (advanced teen adventures). Uses our flexible Quest! skill system.
Hero's Journey — A more reflective adventure focused on personal growth and the monomyth structure. Characters face challenges that mirror real-world development.
World War Z: Survival — Zombie apocalypse survival using our survivor class system. More strategy and resource management than combat.
Custom Adventures — We can adapt any theme or create original worlds based on your group's interests.
How It Works
Virtual Sessions (Zoom) - Participants join via video call - Game Master shares maps, images, and character sheets on screen - Digital dice rollers or physical dice at home - Typically 4-6 players per session for best engagement - Works great for library programs, homeschool groups, or geographically scattered friends
In-Person Sessions - Traditional tabletop setup with maps, miniatures, and dice - Same great facilitation as our live action programs - Ideal for libraries, schools, or private groups wanting RPG programming - Can accommodate 4-8 players per table
Ongoing Campaigns - Multi-session stories that develop over weeks or months - Characters grow and change over time - Deeper investment in storylines and relationships - Perfect for after-school programs or regular library events
Session Structure
A typical Tabletop Adventures session includes:
Opening (10-15 min): Character review, recap of previous session (if ongoing), and setting the scene for today's adventure.
Adventure (60-80 min): The main adventure with challenges, roleplay, and decision-making. Players work together to overcome obstacles and advance the story.
Wrap-Up (10-15 min): Reflection on what happened, preview of next session (if ongoing), and celebration of great moments.
Perfect For
Tabletop Adventures is ideal for: - Libraries wanting RPG programming without physical space needs - Schools looking for virtual enrichment options - Homeschool groups meeting online or in small spaces - Youth groups wanting ongoing campaign-style programs - Private groups who prefer storytelling to physical activity - Weather backups for outdoor live action programs
